01-10-2007	CTS win Skills for Care contract
Care Training Solutions are delighted to announce they have been successful in securing a Skills for Care contract which is aimed at encouraging people to access careers in social care across the Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire areas. The project involves managing a number of key activities including: Care Ambassadors Work experience Apprenticeship scheme Taster sessions Specialist 14 – 19 diploma Career pathways Career advice “We are really excited about starting work on this exciting project,” says Alison Simpson, CTS Director. “In order to address some of the really serious problems that employers face around recruitment and retention it is vital to promote social care as a long term career and not just a job.

01-01-2007	Free ESOL Qualifications available for Care Assessors in Milton Keynes, Bucks and Oxfordshire
CTS are working with language school LTD to offer NVQ Assessors Level 3 Adult ESOL Support Qualification which is aimed enabling Assessors to better support Candidates for whom English is not their first language, both when undertaking an NVQ or in the workplace in general. 23-11-2006	Results of External Verifier Visit
CTS are delighted to announce they have been awarded a Grade A by the City and Guilds External Verifier on their latest inspection. The External Verifier remarked that there was a “consistent high standard of assessment and internal verification across all schemes”.

01-09-2006	CTS become a Train to Gain Provider
CTS have a number of fully funded NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2 Train to Gain places available in Oxon, Berks and Bucks. Candidates must meet certain criteria to be eligible for these places. Please contact us for more details.
